RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research methodology is a way of systematically solve the research problem. The researcher in studying his research problem along with the logic behind them. It is necessary for the researcher to know not only the methods/techniques but also methodology. The scope of research methodology is wider than that of research methods. Research in common parlances refers to a search for knowledge. Once can also define research as a scientific and systematic search for pertinent information on a specific topic.
In fact, research is an art of scientific investigation research comprises defining and redefining of problems, formulating hypothesis or suggested solutions, collecting, organizing, and evaluating data, making deductions and reaching conclusions and at last carefully testing the conclusions to determine whether they fit the formulating hypothesis. It is the pursuit of truth with the help of study, observation, comparison and experiment. In short, the search for knowledge through objective and systematic method of finding solution to a problem in research.
Types of data used:
There are two types of data used during there are:
1.      Primary data
2.      Secondary data
Primary data:
The primary data are those which are collected afresh and for the first time and thus happen to be original in character. The primary data is collected through direct communication with the employees and by observing them.
Secondary data:
The data which is collected from published sources like books, newspapers, etc..are known as secondary data.
Statistical tools used:
1.      Simple percentage.

Percentage analysis:
In case of multiple choice questions the response were categorized based on the nature and percentage is calculated for each category. To find the percentage of response in each category, the number of responses for each category is used.
The percentage is calculated by dividing  the number of respondents by the total numbers of respondents.
Percentage analysis formula:
Percentage =  no. of.respondent×100 ÷ Total no of respondent

DATA ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION:
The purpose of analysing data is to obtain usable and useful information.
The analysis, irrespective of whether the data is qualitative or quantitative, may:
  • ·                          describe and summarise the data
  • ·                          identify relationships between variables
  • ·                            compare variables
  • ·                          identify the difference between variables
  • ·                           forecast outcomes

Interpretation is the process of attaching meaning to the data. Numbers do not speak themselves so we need to explain it logically so that our study is justified and understood.
For example 60 customers out of 100 customers are satisfied with product can be interpreted as 60% customers are satisfied with product and 40% customers are not satisfied with the product. This helps us to further study why 40% customers are not satisfied with product. Interpretation should give meaning to the data collected.

It summarizes the primary or secondary data that is studied.
Suggestions or Recommendations: The researchers gives suggestions based on the findings.
For Example in the Demonstration stated above in Data Analysis: Only 60% of customers are satisfied with customers while 40% of the customers are not satisfied the research may suggest how the 40% can be converted to satisfied customer.
