Extension Activities Report

The Department of Business Administration organized an extension activity in Safe India Orphanage on September 8, 2018, our students conducted games on time management, drawing competition and motivational videos for the children in the orphanage. They also contributed 25kg rice bags, chocolates and crayons for the children.

Workshop on Personal Branding

Excel Management Club of the department organized a workshop on Personal Branding on September 06, 2018. The resource person Mr.S.Shyam Sundar, Behavioural and Language Trainer, Corporate Consultant, addressed the students on how to become a distinctive brand by marketing themselves and their career .

He highlighted that the students must have personal branding skills which they have to identify by themselves. He used SWOT analysis techniques to make them analyze their own strengths and weaknesses and to become the best brand personal and also motivated them to brand themselves to create a demand for corporate. The session was very interactive and the students acquired knowledge on exhibiting their talents when opportunity knocks

Workshop on Goods & Service Tax

Departments of Business Administration and Corporate secretaryship jointly organized a workshop on Goods & Service Tax on August 24, 2018.The Honorable Chief Guest Mr.Karunakar Reddy, Superintendent of GST & Central Excise, Chennai South Commissionerate gave the students an insight on Goods and Service Tax (GST) and its implication in Indian system. He explained that indirect taxes is levied on the supply of goods and services and this law has replaced many indirect tax laws that previously existed in India. He also highlighted the remarkable changes that GST has brought in the day today life. In the end he stated that Journey of GST in India is an ongoing process and it never ends.

Guest Lecture on "Cyber Crime and Cyber Law"

The Department of Business Administration organized a guest lecture"Cyber Crime and Cyber Law" on 9th August 2018. The resource person was Ms. Maithili Shaan Katari Libby, the proprietor Shaan Libby and Associates delivered the essentials of Cyber Laws and also the measures to prevent from being victimised.
