Association Report
2014-2015
The vision of our Department is ‘To give quality business education to serve the community by producing highly competent socially responsible graduates with values, knowledge and skills’. Our Mission is to Empower our students by providing the essential fundamental management knowledge and skills to enable them to be ethical and successful in the corporate and business world.
The Business Administration association for the academic year 2014-2015 was inaugurated on 9th July, 2014 by Hon'ble Justice J. KANAKARAJ Retired Judge of the Madras High Court and Chairman of the CTTE Trust.
Our Association aims at providing a right platform for students to explore their potential and enhance their professional skills.
The Department of Business Administration organized a Career Guidance programme in Banking Industry on 20th August,2014. Mr. Ajay Antony, Course Director and Vice President, TIME Pvt Ltd, Chennai. Students from BBA,B.Com (G),B.Com (A& F) and B.Com Corporate Secretaryship and II Year BBA were benefitted from the programme.
The Association organized Cloud Computing Course Awareness for Commerce graduates on 22nd September,2014 and Resource person Mr. Karthikeyan, Faculty, Reach Certified Accountant (RCA) .
A Workshop on Leadership qualities was conducted on 23rd January,2015. Prof. Alli Raju Suresh Kumar, Head, Department of Management Studies, Training and Placement officer, Apollo Engineering College was the Guest speaker. Students of the Department of Business Administration and Commerce attended the Workshop and were benefitted.
To bridge the gap between classroom and industry, The Department of Business Administration organized an industrial visit on 17th December,2014 to “HATSUN AGRO” products. I year students were taken for the Industrial Visit. A visual presentation of the entire process of production, manufacturing, distribution, and marketing was telecasted to the students. Students were taken in small batches to view the actual manufacturing process. They also had an opportunity to visit the freezer room, where the temperature was below -20 degree Celsius in Hatsun Agro Products.
ASSOCIATION ACTIVITIES for the Academic Year 2014-15
To motivate students to involve in research based learning we conducted Paper Presentation competition on the topic “GREEN BUSINESS: A GATEWAY TO SUSTAINABILITY” on 10th December 2014.Students from I yr, II yr and III yr of the Department of Business Administration participated enthusiastically
To exhibit marketing skills and team building skills Adzap competition was conducted on 15th December 2014. Students from Ist yr , II yr and III yr participated in the event.
To test the knowledge in Business terminologies Jumbled words competition was conducted on 16th December 2014,
To identify the Best Manager of the Department, Best Manager Competition for the I yr, II , IIIyr students was conducted on 16th December 2014
Inter Department Business Quiz competition was conducted on 19th December 2014. Students from Department of Commerce, Corporate Secretaryship, Accounting and Finance and Business Administration participated in the competition.
INTER COLLEGE COMPETITION

The second prize was shared by Ms. S.Princy,III BBA and Ms. M.Rubika, III BBA who presented a paper on “Green HR” and Ms.J. Jenisha Mariya,I BBA and Ms. R.Hemalatha, I BBA (Topic: Environmental Ethics).The third prize was won by Ms.Divya.M, I BBA and Ms. Preethi.V, I BBA who presented paper on ‘Green Marketing”.
Adzap Competition: The first prize was won by the team consisting K.Mahin Taj, M.Isabella Agnes, G.Rajeswari, G. Pavithra , Preethi venkatrathinam and M.Divya . The second prize was won by team K.Monika, D.Emimal, J.Saranya, Noori fathima, J.Saral, Sushma
Best Manager Competition: the first prize was won by Noore Fathema ,I BBA, II prize was won by G.Rajeshwari,III BBA and third prize was won by L.Kavitha,III BBA.

Inter Department Business Quiz competition: The Ist prize was won by V.Hemalatha, V. Anandhi, S.Amali karthika ,III B.Com (G) The second prize was won by V.Vigneshwari,U.Sandhya,T.Ramya, III B.Com (G). The third prize was shared by M.Thasneem fathima, C. Jacintha jenifer, B.Nivethitha ( III B.Com (CS)- ‘B’) and P.Pachaiyammal, M.Siva revathy, P.Ponezil.(III B.Com(G).
For showing research interest and presenting papers at International, National, Inter Collegiate and College Level, A special certificate for Paper Presentation and a trophy is given to Ms. L.Kavitha, III BBA. A special certificate for Best Dancer is given to Ms.M. Nivedha Bharathy, III BBA.
